Fhat the Wuck?

It's October already?

We officially have two more months of filming ahead of us. I'm hoping we have the camera issue fixed by December so I can actually upload the footage we've gathered over the past 4 or 5 months. Right now I have 3 full tapes sitting on my computer desk and the tape in the camera is 3/4 full already.

Right now Billy's part is about wrapped up, he is sitting on a few clips right now that should complete his part. Nick Capaldi hasn't gotten a clip since the civil war but from what I'm hearing his banger is going to be ridiculous. I haven't ridden with Josh Vodopija too much so he hasn't been able to clock as much footage as he'd like but October is usually when everybody shines. I'm riding with Shaun Thompson Sunday I'm hoping he'll do a couple outrageous dirt maneuvers that will blow everybody's mind. He did a tree ride last week out of nowhere and I nearly wet myself because it looked so good. Brandon and Mad Money Matt Mazzone have been putting in a lot of work lately, Brandon is the only guy I've been riding with lately out in Mays Landing. He's still finding different things to do out there which is pretty insane since I thought every spot had been owned by now. Matt has a bunch of good stuff to refilm, especially that infamous gnarly full cab. I haven't ridden with Joe the Northness since Goshen but I heard he's coming mighty close to tailwhips and I look forward to getting a few more clips with him. Gettings and I have been cruising around as of late just being old men with aching body parts. He has a few real nice clips to get out in Cape May and Philly and I think we're going to make another Atlantic City trip before it's all said and done. I haven't seen much of Louis lately, last I heard he painted his bike and couldn't make it out to Hammonton. He truly is a hard man to get in contact with. Hopefully he'll make an appearance at the Mullica jam coming up on the 9th. Mike S has like 5 clips :( when he's not working he's shredding though, I just have to meet up with him one night and I have no doubt that he'll bang out numerous clips.

The friends section is looking pretty tight right now, still searching for the right song but overall the riding is deece. Expect clips from Luke Gajtkowski, Max Loomis, and Jon Clayton amongst other good guys.

Mike S, Gettings, myself, Gary Dimartine, Louis Kerekes and possibly Goggles are going out to Bean town in a few weeks. I've got a few things that aren't manual 180's to film out there and with a crew like this you know some crazy things are going to go down!

New Look

I never thought Mr. Ponz's web design class would actually come in handy one day. But as you can tell the site has a few different things on it. It's all pretty simple right now, and I doubt anybody wants to go on an overcomplicated website anyway. So have fun checking out the new stuff and then go out and shred.

(Notice)
I didn't realize until I was finished that I bit the IB site pretty hard, so sorry about that but I doubt those guys will care haha.

Oh jeez another Mullica jam?

Hell Yeah!

October 9th get out to where the skatepark used to be and enjoy some good times with people you might not get to see any more. I know Gettings is trying to get a hold of a lot of the older skaters that he went there with when he was but a lad. I'm bringing my grind box, flat rail and a couple pallots. Hopefully Billy will be able to bring his Bordz bank which usually winds up being in the middle of a few awesome set ups. I'm sure a couple cones will pop up somewhere. If Max can make it out he'll probably bring his rail and hop bar thingy.

All in all there will be some nasty ramps out there along with some nasty kids so get out there and have some fun.

New video

from the guys over at Stereotyped BMX. Matt recently got his camera back and he decided he wants to start fresh, so he took all the good clips on his camera and put them into this little edit. Shit's nice

XMB

There's a rather large amount of people going to Goshen skate park this Friday due to school being out. Last time we went everybody had a lot of fun, I for one enjoy getting the Piney and Stereotyped guys out all together, it seems to bring out the best in everybody. I don't really expect any of this to go down

but some good shreddin none the less will definitely occur.

We're hoping to be out there by 12:30 or so. If at all possible, get out there somehow. My truck is full and I'm pretty sure Pat's is as well. Gettings is going to be out of commission for a few days due to his wisdom teeth being yanked from the interiors of his mouth but if you the reader can find a way out there and back hop on it.

Some Gnarly Newz

Matt had a tape from the GL2 at his house. It has clips from Brig park, Amanda's field, a couple hammonton trips and a few Mays Landing trips. The only clips lost were from Black Diamond, P-Ville, the Mullica jam and Goshen. I'm pretty sure the lost clips can be redone in time for the November filming deadline.
Pretty soon I'd like to get a Black Diamond trip together. There are about 600 clips that we need to get done out there, hopefully the jacker will be there and we can castrate him while we're at it.

In other news..
Today was the Ocean City shred shack jam. It was a pretty big turn out, Mike Staveckas came out for the first time since smoking cigars on a baseball diamond became illegal. Victor Behm made an appearance and killed anything in his path. Joe North said I think I'll just do another 12 stair, and he did it. Max Loomus popped on out and showed us what new moves he's been workin on. Josh can tooth over hang..nuff said..Billy Brown went nice and high and crashed in Brandon Bunting a lot, Brandon's back wheel said Mercy and gave up. Matt Gettings is way more creative than anybody I know and can do curved wall rides all of a sudden. I crashed on a infant sized Ice pick and took nearly 3,000 tries for one clip. Erik Sammartino was out there, not ridin do to a torn nut sac but it's cool to just shoot the shit with that kid. Kenny Shoulders who I've never ridden with was showing me who the boss was with manual 180s. Dennis was workin the camera all day, he said something about a web video, I have no details on it but I'm stopping out there tomorrow and I'll try to find some more stuff out.

When I have more details on everything I'll post em up on this jawnsy jawn
Love peace and anal grease

I also just realized I never posted this awesome web video up. Brandon did real good on this one..

:'(

I'll never forget the day John Griffin brought home what would later be dubbed the legendary "Griffwood". I was a gay little skater wearing some Jnco jeans when I saw Mr. Griff in his Gnarly Toyota truck luggin these super nice wooden ramps. Needless to say I immediately ran to John's backyard to see these fantastic wooden structures. It was two 3 foot wide banks, a 6 foot long deck with a grind box on the side of it. As an 11 year old in Nesco, this was the sickest thing I've ever seen. John and his dad got the ramps all set up and John began jumping it on his legendary S&M black bike. I only had my skateboard at the moment so I dropped in on the banks into the dirt, regardless I thought that was the shit.
Eventually John and Nick Hagaman built the "Quarter pipe" that would lay rest on the other side of the burm. I remember trying to roll up it and fakie rollout countless times. One time Nick Hagaman did a fastplant 180 on it and I nearly pooped in my pants. Then came the Louis times. Louis jumped the bank to bank came around the burm 100mph and hit the "quarter pipe" as a launch ramp and gapped over the deck into the bank that was supposed to be jumped off of, not onto.

I remember Jon Clayton's older brother Cory parking his purple car in between the two ramps and jumping over his car, I don't think there are any pictures of that but if John has any in his storage unit I'll be sure to post them.

John and Nick eventually put the "spine" in, which started as a dirt jump. Some crazy neighbor of John's gave him a handicap ramp to use for shreddin because he saw "The Crew" outside shreddin some wicked grindbox's. So he put that handicap ramp on the landing of the dirt jump then built another little kicker to use as the lip. I remember Richie J and I not wanting to hit the spine because we thought we'd get hung up and die. Years later Jon Clayton took "spine" riding to new extremes when he gapped from the spine to the big bank which brings me to the next chapter in the story of griffwood.

I can't remember if it was John's 18th or 19th birthday but he wanted to make somthing that everybody would be stoked on. He said, let's make a legit boxjump and that's what we did. It took about a weeks time but the end result was sooo good. I remember driving to Home Dept with John and Louis and the Toyota. It was a snug fit so John couldn't reach the shifter. So John had to push in the clutch while Louis shifted all the way home, pretty outrageous. With help from Matt Gettings, Louis Kerekes and the legend himself Emory Silipigni the ramp got done before the deadline.

Some of my favorite memories on the final set up were Nick Hagaman attempting to nose manual the entire deck and just going right over the bars scraping his chiiiiiin down the entire ramp along with his only clip in the crew video, his super smooth buttery jumps over the ramp haha. Matt Gettings starting from Emory's front door to clear the ramp because of the gnarly run way. Luke Gajtkowski trying to 360 and just falling off to the left almost eliminating himself on a shovel. Building the tree stand for a "Super good" angle for jumping it, turned out to be the worst angle ever and the first rung of the steps fell out as soon as I jumped on it sending me straight to my back.

A day in Nesco Episode 1: Griffwood from piney bmx on Vimeo.

One of the better web videos I've made happened to be entirely filmed at Griffwood.

Last week I had to do one of the hardest things in my life. Help with the destruction of the Griffwood. The ramps were getting too rickety and dangerous to ride and John didn't want somebody he didn't know to get hurt back there and sue sue sue. I can't really blame him, it was a pretty smart move because last time I was back there tryin Nothings I landed in the middle of the deck and heard a loud thump. The entire first support beam had snapped off. John hit me up several days later about taking it down and although it killed me a little inside I went over with emory and helped moved the rotten ramps over the side. Matt Gettings picked up the only remaining ramp that was intact, the big bank. It's now a hip set up at his house, when he sends me a picture of it I'll post it up on here.

New Names and other happenings

First off I'd like to welcome Shaun Thompson aboard. He'll be filming a lot more with us and hopefully he'll be able to get a full part in the DVD. His riding speaks for itself and he's one of the most modest kids I know. His parents used to run the "Extreme Kids Stuff" Bike shop in Hammonton. If the name sounds familiar you've probably heard it from the kids talkin about "That guy throwin whips at Patmos" haha. I'm stoked to have him aboard and gettin him places outside of Patmos and Hammonton.

I wish I could've gotten an actual picture of this wallride, sooo huge from gutter to gutter!

He later took a spill on this same wallride, causing him to grow a third knee and leak a lot of blood from his hands and elbows

Evidently the police don't want us riding at Advanced Auto Parts anymore, we haven't had a complaint from any of the employees in about 3 years but this one cop said that they called and talked to them about people "chewing up" the side of dock even though it's been like that for about as long as I can remember. I'm sure people will continue to ride that place, it just sucks seeing another great riding spot shut down by some toolbags in Hammonton.

The intro for the DVD is all written out and ready to go. Emory and I have to work out a day to get this bad boy done, so suped to be workin with that guy.

Still Hungry

Even after the unfortunate loss of the last camera guys are still firing out clips. It seems that everybody is still really pumped to ride which is super good. We filled up a tape and a half already on Capaldi's camera. I'm making sure nothing will ever happen to the tapes so we can save these clips. A lot of Ocean City riding has been going down lately, it's a nice area, I'm yet to be hounded by anyone for riding street spots though I may just be in the right place at the right time, the park is super fun during the day time and the cops ride their bicycles right past us shredding away.

Yesterday Brandon Bunting, Luke Gajtkowski, Josh Vodopija, Matt Gettings, Matt Mazzone and myself killed the streets of Mays Landing which I once thought was impossible. I think Brandon is putting together a web video tonight while still saving a few clips for the actual Piney DVD. If Brandon keeps putting work in like he's been doin he's probably going to wind up with his own section in the DVD, but now that I've said that I'm sure the other stereotyped niggas are going to put in double time to bang out some outrageous clips.

This Friday there is going to be a big AC street session, try to get out there guys it's going to be super good and I'm sure a lot of great riding will go down.

Also a Black Diamond trip is in order, hopefully the dirtbag that jacked the camera will be there and we can rip his chest hair off, but if not at least try to bang out all the clips we've lost from there in the past.

I'll post the web video from yesterday on here tonight as soon as Brandon sends me over a link.
